Specialty Pizza Comes to Chestnut Street in Needham, MA
After a long, much anticipated wait, Sweet Tomatoes Pizza has finally opened its doors on Chestnut Street in Needham, MA. Sweet Tomatoes is located in the strip shopping center at 320 Chestnut Street in the space formerly occupied by White Hen Pantry. The menu features specialty pizzas, calzones and salads. Customers can dine-in at the restaurant (after placing orders at the counter), but the majority of business is carry-out. The pizzas have a very thin crust and taste light, fresh and delicious.. The dough has no oil in it and is rolled very thin. Instead of a tomato sauce, the crust is spread with chopped tomatoes made into an uncooked sauce, which gives the pies a fresh taste. White pizzas (no sauce) are also a popular menu item. In my opinion, Sweet Tomatoes has created the perfect pizza..fresh and tasty without being too doughy, cheesy or greasy.
