Developer to Reveal Plans for Former Grossman’s Site in Wellesley MA
Wellesley Board of Selectman and the Planning Board Will Hold Special Public Meeting on September 6th
Tomorrow night, Wellesley residents will find out the future of the former Grossman’s site located at 27 Washington Street. The meeting will take place at 7:30 pm at the Town Hall. The site has been an eyesore sitting vacant in Lower Falls for over 10 years.
The developer is National Development Corporation. In a joint statement published in The Townsman, the Board of Selectman and Planning Board said, “The Boards believe National Development to be a very reputable and competent developer. In previewing its proposal [we] believe it to be very consistent with the Planning Board’s vision for this area of town as reflected in the zoning overlay regulations enacted by Town Meeting.”
National Development is known for its apartment complexes, assisted living facilites, office parks and large retail stores.
