Massachusetts Horticultural Society to Host 150 Antique Dealers

This weekend over 150 antique dealers will gather under tents in the gardens of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society at Elm Bank for the New England Antiques Show.  The show will be open on Saturday the 28th, 9am - 5 pm and on Sunday the 29th, 10 am - 4 pm. There will be a chance to preview the antiques at an 8 am breakfast on Saturday - the charge will be $25, the proceeds of which will benefit the Horticultural Society. Tickets for the show are $10.

The Wellesley Townsman reports that organizer Martin Getman, who has been putting on shows for over 25 years, is very selective in what dealers he chooses for his shows and attributes this to his success. “The dealers he invites to the show are part of the reason people continue to attend his events. Getman only brings dealers he knows or has done business with in the past. The ones he doesn’t know are scrutinized before they are allowed to participate.”
