Middle School Summer program at Land's Sake in Weston, MA runs from June 24th through August 24th

Could your middle school aged child benefit from some fresh air, dirt under their fingernails and good old fashioned hard work?  Then Green Power might be just the answer.  Working the gardens at Lands Sake in Weston, MA will provide the perfect backdrop for such an experience.

Green Power is a program that helps middle school aged children understand where their food comes from and how it is grown.  Green Power participants will harvest bushels of fresh produce and supply more than 30,000 pounds of fresh food for Boston area food banks.  Students are introduced to the notion of sustainability as a framework for making decisions about our use of natural resources.  The program schedule runs from June 25^th through August 24^th.  Weekly topics include alternative energy, farm and forest, soil power, slugs and bugs, cooking on the farm and much more.  To check on weekly rates and dates, go to www.landssake.org.
