Wellesley Sales On Record Breaking Pace
Housing Slump! Not in Wellesley
While real estate sales remain sluggish in many communities, the Wellesley market continues to remain quite strong. A snapshot of the last three years shows that Wellesley is on track for a record breaking year. Remember 2005 was the best year on record and the major housing recession predicted for 2006 resulted in no more than a slight hiccup in our local sales. Year-To-Date statistics are shown below. Amazing, average price is up over 9% from last year. Median price is down which indicates that the higher end homes are fueling this strong performance.

| 2007 | 194 | 166 | 102 | $909,000 | $1,405,138 |
Is this simply another hiccup, in the right direction this time? Will 2007 break the 2005 record? We welcome your comments.
