A glance at Real Estate activity in one of Wellesley's special neighborhoods
There were 356 sales of single family homes in the town of Wellesley MA in the past 12 months, 20 of these were in the Country Club neighborhood. This does not take into consideration some private sales where properties changed hands without ever officially coming on the market.
Sales in the Country Club area this past year have ranged from a 1930’s Colonial that sold in the $700,000’s to an impeccably renovated 1900’s Colonial that sold at over $3m. The bulk of the sales, however, was in the $1m. to $2m. range. There were Tudors, Victorians, Colonials, some older, some newer, some requiring more updating than others, but all had one thing in common. They were snapped up by buyers who recognized the value of a home in this very special Wellesley neighborhood and considered their purchase a sound investment.
